Description
A pair of antique Japanese Imari-style porcelain vases. Late Meiji era, before 1912. Bottle shape with taper neck and corrugated rim. Hand-painted floral and geometrical patterns in cobalt blue, pink, green and red. Multi-figure scene panels with samurai and geishas. Imari ware is a Western term for a brightly-coloured style of Japanese export porcelain from the Arita region in the 17-18th centuries. Collectible Asian Oriental Porcelain Ware And Decor.
Dimensions: H 29 1/2 in. D of mouth rim 12 1/2 in. in. All measurements are approximate.
Condition
Overall good vintage condition. Signs of age and wear. One with stapled repairs, and chips to the rims. Refer to photos. Sold As Is.
