Description
Ancient Central Asia, Indus Valley, Harappan / Mohenjo-Daro civilization, ca. 2700 to 1900 BCE. A set of 2 hand-built pottery vessels from the ancient Indus Valley including a piriform cup decorated with foliate motifs atop a flared stem and a squat, white-ground jar decorated with black-painted spoked motifs, perhaps representing stars or other celestial objects. Size (jar): 5.7" Diameter x 3.75" H (14.5 cm x 9.5 cm); (stemmed cup): 2.75" Diameter x 3.875" H (7 cm x 9.8 cm)

Condition
Each vessel with small chips to rim, fading to pigment, and scattered earthen deposits, otherwise in great condition. Nice preservation to decorative motifs.
