First Nations, Canada, Inuit, ca. 20th century CE. A pair of Inuit stone carvings by anonymous artists, each featuring groups of long-necked birds perched atop a rocky base. The more petite platform presents one larger, greenstone bird beside 3 petite walrus ivory birds with stone-inlaid eyes. Similarly, the larger platform displays a trio of birds seated on top. Both are signed with illegible disc numbers on the undersides of their bases; the more petite signed in syllabics as well. Size of larger: 4.7" L x 5.6" W x 2.5" H (11.9 cm x 14.2 cm x 6.4 cm)
This is an ESA antique exempt piece of ivory and cannot be sold internationally or to anyone residing in the states of California, Hawaii, Illinois, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, and Washington. We guarantee that the piece is over 100 years old.

Condition
Both are signed with illegible disc numbers on the undersides of their bases; the more petite signed in syllabics as well. All birds of smaller platform are detachable via wooden pegs, and 3 eye inlays missing from birds. Beak of green bird is reattached with break line. Larger platform has 1 bird detached with adhesive visible, but other 2 are still in place.
