AN EXCEPTIONAL JAPANESE CARVED IVORY OKIMONO, MEIJI PERIOD. Fully carved in the round of a well modeled young standing samurai in full attire above a seated dignitary and kneeling seer with figural dragon ornament. Each finely detailed and with elaborately incised decorated garments. Inscribed chop mark on base. Height 8.5 inches (21.5 cm).
