Astronaut ball point pen, pencil and ink pen, with some remnants of velcro attached. According to the consignor's family, this pen set was used by crewmembers during training exercises for Apollo 17. From the collection of Walt Salyer, one of NASA's 5 suit technicians. Slayer began his work with space suit development when he was in the Navy and continued with NASA as one of NASA's five space suit technicians who maintained all the crew's equipment including their space suits. Salyer worked on NASA's space suits from the Mercury program all the way through Apollo. After retirement from NASA, he went on to work for space suit manufacturer ILC. Good condition, minor faults.
