From the border of Ecuador / Columbia, Narino culture, ca. 800-1500 CE. This ensemble includes a striking pedestal bowl and two round-bottomed ollas expertly hand built and decorated with the Narino signature negative resist technique in black and iron rich red pigment. Together these vessels make a wonderful presentation with their elegant forms and complex, geometric decoration. Condition
Minor surface wear. Larger olla has small chip on rim and some nicks on exterior walls. Small nice on rim of pedestal bowl. Nice manganese deposits on smaller olla and pedestal bowl. All are intact and appear in good to excellent condition.
