Description
Mercury program flown artefact acrylic. First there was Apollo, then Gemini and finally Mercury: Spaceflori.com presents the last missing flown artefact acrylic in our series containing flown artefacts from every manned Mercury flight incl. the first American spaceflight "Freedom 7" piloted by Alan Shepard and the first orbital flight "Friendship 7" piloted by John Glenn. An over 20 year search for flown artefacts from the Mercury flight has come to an end and we are proud to be the only supplier in the world for flown artefacts from every manned US spaceflight from Alan Shepard to STS-135 ! Mercury MA-6 turned out to be the toughest one since literally nothing "flown" is on the market here (other than some US dollar bills usually selling at $20.000+ in auction) This acrylic contains six flown artefacts and is made out of the most advanced acrylic available on the market today - Plexid 55 - these are ultraclear with no discoloration over time. Unlike other privately made acrylics or lucites these are real blocks, not cheaply glued or screwed together. Each block is in the size of 7''x4'' and about 1'' thick. Perfect for any office table or even flat down in a cabinet. Details:

•Mercury Redstone 3 - Alan Shepard - first US spaceflight - flown parachute fragment from Hal French
•Mercury Redstone 4 - Virgil I. Grissom - second US spaceflight, near disaster when capsule sank - flown film fragment recovered more than 35 years later
•Mercury Atlas 6 - John Glenn - first US orbital spaceflight - flown heatshield fragment from Friendship 7
•Mercury Atlas 7 - Scott Carpenter - second US orbital spaceflight - flown retaining lanyard from Aurora 7
•Mercury Atlas 8 - Wally Schirra - third US orbital spaceflight - flown heatshield fragment from Sigma 7 • Mercury Atlas 9 - Gordon Cooper- last Mercury spaceflight - flown heatshield fragment from Faith 7

Only 30 such acrylics were made and each comes with a numbered COA. Good condition
