Offered is a circa 1955 embossed tin litho advertising sign for Kool Cigarettes. This sign features an embossed image of Willie, who was officially named "Willie the Penguin" in 1947 and helped to lend the cigarettes an image of being cool and fresh. Kool used Willie's image until the early 1960s when it was phased out. This sign is approximately 25 inches x 12-3/8 inches with bright colors and no fading. This piece has signs of use or wear, such as scratches, spots, and scuffs (mentioned for accuracy, as they are small and may not show up in the pictures).
