Description

This is a Fine Civil War Period Cavalry Model of 1860 Saber in Iron Scabbard. The Blade is marked “1862”, “US”, and “Prov Tool Co.” for Providence, Rhode Island. The leather grip is missing, leaving the wood grip, as shown in the photos. This sword has wear, as to be expected for its age. The sword in the scabbard measure approximately 42.25” long. As with any piece of this age, it is advised to view the photos or to preview in person to fully appreciate this piece and to determine the condition of this antique piece.
