Country bench/daybed - probably late 18th century - Front seat folds out to expose a sleeping area or storage compartment - the backrest to the bench consists of leaf form spindles mortised to the crest - frame with dovetailed construction - crest with an old hand forged iron repair to top which was added for stabilization as no signs of a break is evident - old paint - 66"L x 18"W x 35.5"H. Good overall condition.
