Description
Colima, Nayarit and Jalisco, Mexico, Ca 300 BCE/CE. Grouping of five early pottery vessels from the west coast. Comprised of two small bowls, one in blackware other orangeware with red rim - 4-3/8" D for largest; along with two redware seed jars each with minimal raised rim - 3" D for largest; and finally a blackware squat olla with short rim and scalloped sides. 2-1/4" D.
Provenance: Ex-private Kincade collection, Utah acquired prior to 1960.
