Description

A lantern from our newest large consignor with a massive, quality hardware collection. This lantern is an Adams & Westlake bell bottom with a very clean frame. It has an unusual globe retaining spring assembly. Both Adams & Westlake and Armspear (and their predecessors) attempted to use this type of odd spring retainers. This one is in great condition and it works fine. This is not a common model and in this condition it should command a premium. The bell is a twist off model with concentric rings on the bottom. It is a standard size needing a 5 1/2" extended base globe. The lid is clearly stamped PRR in fancy lettering. The bell bottom comes off easily. It has a nice brass burner. The metal has been cleaned. The globe is a standard 5 1/2" extended base with no panel. The globe has PRR cast in fancy lettering with no panel. The frame and globe have been cleaned so this lantern can go right onto your shelf.
