Description
Fine quality, large 18th century style brass "grasshopper" skeleton clock retailed by Asprey, London @ $18,000. The inspiration for the design of this clock comes from the work of John Harrison, an 18th century clockmaker who created and perfected the design to overcome the motion of a ship. In a fine, plinth-raised original glazed case. Clock dimensions with case: 18H x 12 1/2W x 9D inches. Dimensions without case: 13 1/2H x 8W x 5D inches. Excellent condition.
