Item Details

Description

Lengthy letter from Rebbetzin Shterna Sara Schneersohn to her relative, Rebbetzin Rochel Chaya. Entirely in her hand and with her signature. [1933].
[1] graph paper, 28x21 cm.
In addition to her prestigious lineage, Rebbetzin Shterna Sara Schneersohn was a noted righteous person in her own right. She was the daughter of Admor Yosef Yitzchak of Avorutch, son of the Tzemach Tzedek and son-in-law of Rabbi Yaakov Yisroel of Cherkas who was the son of Rabbi Mordechai of Chernobyl. In 1925, she married her cousin, Admor Rabbi Shalom Dovber Schneersohn. They enjoyed 45 years together. Her son, who was named for her father, is known as Rebbe Rayatz.
Aging stains. Tiny tears in the folds without loss. Moderate-fine condition.Hebrew.
