JAPANESE MAKIE LACQUER SMOKING BOX - Meiji Period (1868-1911) Makie Lacquer Tobakobon (Smoking Box) with overall decoration of chrysanthemums in two toned gold with black field, silvered bronze fittings with figural pivots for square bail handle, silver brackets, ashtray and covered match well both with silver plate cups having solid silver reticulated lids, small swing hook on left, two over one drawer with drop bail handles, gold speckled interiors, shaped bracket feet, 9 1/2" x 5 3/4" x 7 1/4" tall (cabinet only), minor chips to edges.
