Description

DESCRIPTION: A very fine Pennsylvania (possibly Harrisburg) Sheraton tall case clock circa 1820. The form consisting of turned feet supporting a paneled base, thin waist and a figured veneer door. The bonnet with turned columns, glazed front window, solid sides, and castle top with six turned Sheraton urns over applied plinths. The eight day movement behind a painted American dial with sweep hands. Movement appears original. MEASUREMENTS: 20" x 11-1/2" x 8'. CONDITION: Case refinished, dial with crackling, some backboards may have been replaced.
