Description
Georgia Currency
1776 Revolutionary War Georgia “Liberty Cap”
Georgia. 1776 Light Blue Seal. Four Spanish Milled Dollars. “Liberty Cap” vignette. Conservation. Choice Extremely Fine.
Fr. GA-75a. This beautiful Revolutionary War period note has a magnificent bold Blue “Liberty Cap” vignette for its seal and looks virtually Uncirculated from its face side. The red and black printed text is vivid and strong, with even more excellent color provided by the five bold brown signatures including; Bard, LaVien, Telfair, O’Bryen and Ewen. Variety having “d” with “!” in the center of the left border design. There is only a slight paper disturbance on the blank reverse, where something foreign matter on the surface was apparently deftly removed. The paper is fresh and clean, the colors are outstanding and it has the “PQ” eye appeal.
