Manuscript account book, 14 pages filled in (6.5 x 8 in.; 165 x 203 mm.), Schenectady, New York, 20 July to 29 August 1781, entitled an “Account of Boards & Plank Recd from sundry Persons &c & Different Mills at Schenectady 1781.” Simply string bound with irregular edges; first page loose; usual folds with light soiling.
Manuscript account book exhibiting the broad importance of the Hudson River during the American Revolution.
Notes deliverers of boards, planks, together with pitch and other materials. Suppliers included Jacob Fonda,“Col Jno. Renselears Mills,” Tobias Ten Eyck,“Shermerhorn Mills,” Jacob Quackenbush, Isaac Swift, and many others.
