Description
Greece, region of Corinth, Ca 6th century BC. Pottery kothon (also known as a plemochoe or exaleiptron) vessel used to hold scented oils, and hung on walls in the home and in shrines. Decorated with band of Greek "Key" inside of red and black concentric circles, interior with large black bands. Short foot on reverse. 5.75"L x 1.88"W x 7.25"H (14.61 L x 4.76 W x 18.42 H cm)
