China, Ming Dynasty, ca. 1300 - 1600 CE. Utilitarian porcelain cup sits atop small foot, with faded blue/black floral design. The name "Swatow" most probably derives from Shantou in China, an old junk port along the southeastern coast of Guangdong near Fujian. 1-1/4"H x 3"D.
