Description
Chinese JiaQing Cloisonne Ceremonial Saber, 19th c. Qing Dynasty, an Cloisonne Ceremonial saber and scabbard, the elongated 'S'-shaped saber, intricately decorated with dragons patterns, the opposing end carved with stylized lotus scrolling twigs patterns and embellished with an intricate Gilt Bronze sword-guard separating the slender blade, cast in relief with similar motifs. Having steel blade Marked near the hilt, one side with the Four-characters, JiaQing Reign Period, and other side with gilt dragon. The blade indented on each side with single long grooves adorned with open carved coin-pattern with gilt, tapering to the gently upturned tip.
