Pedestal base with Bacchanalian masks and three cupids, possibly the base for an incense burner or ink well, bronze with remnant of gilt surface, 3-3/4 x 5 x 5 in., loss of gilt surface. Notes: Lee attributed this work to Tiziano Aspetti, who was working in both Padua and Venice.. Provenance: Mrs. Ruth Lee acquired this from Leonardo Lapiccirella, Florence, 1964; The Collection of Ruth and Sherman Lee
