Description
Neolithic, 3rd millennium BC. A terracotta jar with conical lower body, domed upper body, broad neck and flared rim; a horizontal band of painted hatched roundels to the upper body, chevrons to the neck; two loop handles to the equator. 3.9 kg, 32cm (12 1/2"). Private collection, North London; acquired in the early 1980s.
