An American Rococo Carved and Laminated Rosewood Armchair, c. 1850-60, attributed to John Henry Belter, New York, in the pattern referred to as "Tuthill King", medallion back intricately carved and pierced with floral scroll elements, retains the old dark finish, needlepoint back and seat Provenance: Workshop of John Henry Belter; to Belter's brother-in-law, Frederick Springmeyer; to daughter Ida Springmeyer Dusing; to a collector; Richard Durbrow; the "Service Collection", Estate of Grant A.
