Description
A pleasing Michoacan standing male figurine, Mexico, c. 100 - AD 250, wearing a wrapped headdress and large ear spools, the facial features are nicely rendered and hands are on his hips. H: 4 ½ in (11.5 cm). Intact with remains of white slip underneath earthen deposits. A very handsome example! Ex Dr. J. Hilsabeck estate, acquired from the 1950’s to early 1980’s.
