HERMANN GORING (1893 - 1946) German politician who began his career as an ace in World War I rose to become Hitler's right-hand man and head of the Luftwaffe finally captured and committed suicide on the eve of his execution. Calligraphic signed letter ""Hermann Goring"" on ""Prussian Minister President"" letterhead 3pp. 4to. Berlin Aug. 22 1935 to a ""Mr. Rosenfeld"". In part: ""...to the rare celebration of the 60th wedding anniversary which you commence today I'm sending you and your wife my warmest wishes. I commemorate the outstanding achievement of your son sergeant Otto Rosenfeld who gave his life as combat pilot during the world war for the freedom and honor of the German nation. His sacrifice was not in vain it gave new meaning in the awakening of the new Germany.
