This is a pectoral cross, which is crafted of gilt silver and decorated with gem stones. The silversmith was Petr Baskakov from Moscow, who created it in the year 1886. The front is applied with a figure of Christ within amethysts, peridots and diamonds. The cross is placed in the original box.



The cross is marked on the back with the master’s mark ‘?.?.’ (Petr Baskakov, Moscow), the assay master’s mark ‘B.?. 1886’ (unidentifiable assay master W.P., Moscow, 1884), the fineness ‘84’ and the Moscow city mark St. George fighting the dragon. The condition is very good. The cross is 17.5 cm in length. (tm)
