The gilding of this silver stein by the Moscow master Alexander Fuld is beautifully preserved

The covered stein originates from Moscow from the year 1873 and is a work of the master Alexander Yosifivich Fuld (1862-1917). The body of the stein is of round conical shape with a slightly domed lid with protruding rim and flat knob. The handle is shaped like a curved ear. The stein is adorned with a beautifully preserved interior gilding and parcel exterior gilding. The wall and the lid are decorated with an engraved décor of straight and curved lines as well as ornamented patterns. On the front side is a large cartouche, surrounded by leaves and flowers.

The covered stein is hallmarked on the base with the master’s mark A? (Alexander Yosifivich Fuld, Moscow, 1862-1917), the assay mark B.C 1873 (Viktor Sakinov), the fineness 84 and the Moscow city mark St. George fighting the dragon. The cover is hallmarked twice with the fineness 84 and once with A?. The stein is in very good condition. It is 12 cm in height including the lid. The total weight is approximately 218 grams. (tm)
