Functioning
This charming grandfather clock with a solid oak case was made in England in the 18th Century. It features a very decorative dial. The brass dial with Roman numerals and second display is adorned with ornamental decorations. The clock case is sober and slender, the top features a glass window on each side as well as a glazed door on the font, which can be opened giving access to the dial.
Condition:
The clock is in good condition with signs of age and use. The clock case shows some material losses along the edges. There are traces of repair here and there. The glass windows show some material loss, they can easily be replaced. Part of one of the window frames is missing. The back shows tension cracks. There are partially minor wood worm holes (no activity). The clock was functional during in-house testing, but precision and regularity cannot be guaranteed. A key for the pendulum case and a wind-up crank are included. The clock measures 210 cm in height, 47 cm in width and 34 cm in depth.
