GOUNOD CHARLES: (1818-1893) French Composer. A.L.S., Ch. Gounod, two pages, 8vo, Morainville par Blangly le Château, Calvados, 20th [September 1885], to Henriette, in French. Gounod explains to his correspondent that the letter he receives proves that she has not received his own previous one, although he sent it immediately after receiving hers, and states `..you wrote to me to share you impressions with me about "Mors et Vita", and further `I´ll be back in Paris on the 3rd October for the elections. You know how happy I´ll be to see you again´. An extremely small area of paper loss to the upper right corner and a very small tear to the edge, otherwise VG £150-200
