Roman Empire, Ca 1st to 2nd century CE. Beautiful glass unguent with bell-shaped base with deeply concaved base, long slightly tapered neck and rolled rim, vessel now with a lovely silvery iridescence throughout. Size: 5-1/4"W x 3"H.
Provenance: Ex-Collection of William Dale. Mr. Dale was a career diplomat stationed in Turkey in the early 1960's and acquired a vast collection of Greek, Roman and Near-Eastern treasures.
