Description
American Revolution
“Museum” Quality Original Revolutionary War Period Spur American “...George Washington's spurs are of this type.”
c. 1770-1800 Revolutionary War Period. American Complete Decorative Full Single Spur. With Its Original Leather Strap. Brass Fixtures. Extremely Fine.

This is a single American, Brass and Leather Spur that is in very nice, fully original condition. The Leather Strap with its original strap buckle is dry in appearance as would be expected yet it remains whole, unbroken and solid. Similar to the design as illustrated as “CV 10” in the reference book, “HISTORIC AMERICAN SPURS” by Howard Crouch. He comments, "This is a rarely seen design, ca. 1770-1800. A set of George Washington's spurs are of this type." It has excellent eye appeal for display and is of “Museum” quality.
