Description
Jim Younger tin type photo (brother of Cole Younger). Born in 1849, died 1902, number 9 of 14 children he joined the Confederacy with Cole and also joined Quantrill's Raiders in 1864. Jim was captured by Union troops in the same ambush that resulted in Quantrill's death. Later Jim joined Cole and the James Gang and was also wounded (having his jaw shot off) in the ill fated bank robbery in Northfield Minn. Jim was paroled with Cole in 1901. He found his love, Alix Mueller, however his parole terms would not allow him to marry. He committed suicide in 1902. LS Coll.
