George III Sterling Silver, hallmarked, wrought and chiselled, partially gilded inside, ivory
Edinburgh, Scotland, 1802
Hallmarked on the base or underneath the rims with makers mark, silver standard and city marks as well as date letter and duty mark
Classicistic tea set, consisting of a tea pot, a sugar bowl and a cream jug
On cylindrical, triple ribbed base
Slight flattened bodies with flared rims; the pot with hinged lid and ball knob
Raised handles; the handle of the teapot with two insulating rings made of ivory
Gadrooned in the lower third, finely chiselled neck area, contrasted rims with stylized leaf dcor
Height of the tea pot: 15 cm
Total weight: approx. 1302 grams
