Description
1st-2nd century AD. A convex bronze discoid mount of tiered profile with triangular-section muzzle, pellet eyes on scaphoid panels, similar mouth, radiating lines to the mane, stud to the reverse; mounted on a custom-made stand. 85 grams, 62 mm including stand (2 1/2"). From a Cambridgeshire collection; acquired in the 1970s.
