Item Details
Description
United States, 19th century CE. Fun piece from the early US penal system. Purportedly from Leavenworth Prison, but no documentation showing as such. Almost completely solid cast with "keyhole" through the center for sliding chain through it. The chain would have been long enough the prisoner could have carried it. Size: 4" in diameter, and weighs about 8.8 pounds.
