Description
An Egyptian steatite plaque with fish and falcon, New Kingdom, c. 1570 - 1075 BC, rectangular in shape and rather thick, one side features a Nile perch with a 'nefer' sign above, the opposite side with a falcon representing Horus with an 'Ankh' before and 'Lord of the Two Lands' behind. The sides are blank and the piece is holed lengthwise for suspension. L: 1/2 in (1.4cm). Ex Collection of Egyptologist G. Bennett Gibbs.
