Description
Western Anatolian, Bronze Age II, ca. 2700 to 2500 BCE. This is a kilia idol marble head with round facial planes rising toward the chin and a vestigal nose ridge down the middle. It has a neck angled upwards; these figures were thought to represent star gazers. Size: 1-1/2"H (3.8 cm).
