Titled at bottom margin "The Cincinnati Platform, or the way to make a new State in 1856." Published by I. Childs, Philadelphia, 1856. Depicts Buchanan and Breckenridge overlooking a scene with militia troops leading freed slaves to Kansas with a flag imprinted "Kansas and Liberty". As the troops advance they encounter a settlement with slain inhabitants including a mother and child. At upper left side Breckenridge exclaims: "Buch these dam'd poor whites with their Free notions are a curse to any country and must be removed." Replying Buchanan states: "You are right Breck let out some of the democratic blood and work them at 10 cents a day and you will soon clear them out."
