Description

Carved Mahogany Cigar Humidor, c. 1900, the sloping lid with a silver nameplate "Sandringham," the interior lined with milk glass, H.- 4 1/2 in., W.- 10 3/4 in., D.- 7 7/8 in.

Condition

Condition consistent with age and use. Minor nicks, scratches, and areas of darker discoloration are observed throughout. Two approximately 1 inch deeper scratches are seen to the top, one along the back edge and one along the left side. Flea-sized chips are noted to the lid edges, with an approximately ¼ inch shallow loss seen to the front right corner. Box opens and closes easily, and hinge holds lid open. Mild dirt debris observed to interior. A classic piece. ALL PROPERTY IS SOLD “AS IS.” NO STATEMENT REGARDING CONDITION OF ANY ITEM, WHETHER IT IS MADE ORALLY AT THE AUCTION OR ANY OTHER TIME, OR IN WRITING IN THE CATALOGUE OR ELSEWHERE, SHALL BE DEEMED TO BE A WARRANTY, REPRESENTATION, OR ASSUMPTION OF LIABILITY.
