Description
Carved Mahogany Cigar Humidor, c. 1900, the sloping lid with a silver nameplate "Sandringham," the interior lined with milk glass, H.- 4 1/2 in., W.- 10 3/4 in., D.- 7 7/8 in.
Condition
Condition consistent with age and use. Minor nicks, scratches, and areas of darker discoloration are observed throughout. Two approximately 1 inch deeper scratches are seen to the top, one along the back edge and one along the left side. Flea-sized chips are noted to the lid edges, with an approximately ¼ inch shallow loss seen to the front right corner. Box opens and closes easily, and hinge holds lid open. Mild dirt debris observed to interior. A classic piece.
