(lot of 6) Attributed to Akan-speaking peoples, Ghana, large female figure seated on an integral stool, finely carved with great detail, especially the multi-rows coiffure, some erosion at bottom, perhaps a shrine piece, age uncertain, 29.5"h; together with a Kota, Cameroon/Gabon Janus figure, perhaps brass-covered, with feathered headdress, 27"; and two Zulu, South Africa, long ladles, each of two-color wood, probably Colonial period but age uncertain; together with a Zulu, South Africa Club (knob kerrie) of the two-colored wood, apparently traditional and made for use; and a Dan complex, Liberia and Cote d'Ivoire, feast ladle, with abstract geometric designs, some patina from handling and use; Provenance: Southern California Estate
