Early size No. 1, 2 1/2" diameter 1 3/8" wide spool German silver raised pillar reel clearly marked "William Mills & Son, NY, Pat. June 24, 89" on the upper face plate. Comes with crack and chip free side plates, early hard rubber rear mounted click switch, fancy scrolled counter balanced handle and nicely knurled end caps. The foot has been altered but otherwise this is an as found uncleaned Very Good reel in fully functional condition.
