DE GAULLE CHARLES: (1890-1970) French General of World War II. Later President of the French Republic 1959-69. T.L.S., C de Gaulle, one page, 4to, n.p. (Paris), 3rd June 1948, to Henri Guillemin, on De Gaulle's personal printed mourning stationery, in French. De Gaulle states that he will not fail to read his correspondent's work and thanks him for his thoughtfulness in having sent it to him. Accompanied by the original envelope. A couple of very light, extremely minor tears to the edges, not affecting the text or signature, VG
