Description
Don Baker (American (Oklahoma), 20th century. "Lakota War Cry", polychromed cast bronze, limited edition 17 of 25, signed, numbered, and titled to plaque at front of base. Impressively modeled naturalistic figural sculpture depicting a Native American warrior chief with full feather headdress streaming behind him as he gallops forward atop a brown horse aiming a bow and arrow behind, the horse to a rocky outcropping as base surmounting a live-edge wood base with beveled edge. Approximate height 20", width 22.5", depth 17.5".
Condition
Dust and grime detected throughout, would benefit from light cleaning. Scattered surface abrasions to figure's right leg and horse blanket on back side, neither particularly distracting. Scattered minor nicks to wood base. No other apparent losses or damage.
