This is a lovely vintage sterling silver ladies compact by Volupte USA. As you can see, this top of this hinged piece is decorated with a very pretty repousee flower pot and scrolls. As you can also see, the front is marked Volupte USA and Sterling. The compact comes with its original puff and some powder remnants. I would say that the compact, which I believe dates to the 1940's is in nice vintage condition, though it would benefit from a cleaning and polishing and there are a few blemishes on the mirror, as shown. I am pretty sure a thorough cleaning would minimize/eliminate the black lines/marks on the silver, but I will leave that to you. Fortunately, the top of the compact is in great aesthetic condition, with minimal tarnish.

Overall very good to excellent condition. As pictured.
