Pre-Columbian, Peru, Chimu or Inca, ca. 1100 to 1470 CE. This is an unique and interesting black ware vessel molded in the form of the large reed shaped boat which grows on the North Coast of Peru, surmounted by a handsome human figure who clings to the boat's edges. A spout rises from the back and flares into a widened rim. Size: 11.25" L (28.6 cm)
