Description: This particular Matisse is a double page color lithograph after the original 1947 Jazz paper cut out from Verve. This lithograph is from the special loose portfolio edition printed for the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) in 1983, reproduced from an original copy of the Teriade printing. Printed single sided with blank verso will look incredible framed. Fold in the middle as issued
Henri Matisse (1869-1954) was a French artist, known for both his use of colour and his fluid and original draughtsmanship. He is responsible for several contributions and significant developments to modern painting and sculpture, including his innovations in Fauvism and expressive language of colour and drawing.
