Description
KPM (German, founded 1763), circa 19th century. Two fine porcelain figurines; one depicting a standing Roman soldier with plumed helmet, draped in cloaks, a sword at this side the other a figurine representing love modeled as a girl draped in yellow robe holding aloft a flame in one hand, the other clutching an arrow. Both figurines with sceptre mark in blue under glaze. The soldier further marked with "923" and "KPM" with globe in red under glaze. The girl numbered "226 B". Approximate height of soldier 7". Approximate height of girl 4.37".
Condition
Soldier with old repair and overpainting at neck and hand holding scroll. Love figurine with old repair and overpainting at upper backside and hand holding the arrow.
