Ancient Near East, ca. 1st millennium BCE. This is a short, leaf-shaped blade with a perforated tang; the blade has a raised central ridge and a still-sharp point. This is a nice example of an early bronze weapon with a pleasing heft. Size: 11.5" L x 1.6" W (29.2 cm x 4.1 cm)
Provenance: Ex-English collection 1980s. Acquired at Gerhard Hirsch.
