Description
Anton Michelsen (Danish, 1809-1877), third quarter 19th century. A silver footed bowl having two handles and a medallion to each side decorated with scrolling foliage and raised on four paw feet. The underside stamped with the "three tower mark" with number "51" below it. "AM" in a rectangle for Anton Michelsen and Assay master mark for Peter R. Hinnerup (1840-1863). Approximate height 2.37", width 6.12" (handle to handle), depth 4.25". Approximate weight 6.69 troy ounces. Provenance: Property from the Estate of Mr. Eskild Bondesen of Copenhagen, Denmark.
